<p>BACKGROUND<br />
Empire Facilities Management Group was established in 2003 to provide repair and maintenance services for small retail stores. By paying attention to their clients’ pain points and taking time to understand their branding, they designed innovative, cost-effective solutions that incorporated branding into the facilities they proposed. For companies like banks, healthcare, retail, commercial, this ensured a tangible and consistent brand experience for their consumers.</p>
<p>THE CHALLENGE<br />
The company’s success brought steady growth and within 10 years it was serving clients across the country. A new identity was needed to project a national stature and to convey its strength of building branding into their facilities. Empire Facilities Management Group became FrontStreet Facility Solutions Inc.</p>
<p>THE SOLUTION<br />
Working with creative partner BSYA, NJ Creative Directions was tasked with designing a new logo, website, stationery, trade show booth, an array of collateral materials and environmental graphics.</p>
<p>Black and white imagery with blue highlights was selected to suggest the extent of their influence in the world around us. The clean, contemporary presentation also reflects FrontStreet’s own design sense and conveys a feeling of efficiency and sustainability.</p>
<p>The result is a more powerful identity system that includes sub brands to communicate a range of product/service solutions, which include:<br />
FS Brand; FS Maintenance; FS Prevention; FS Dashboard and FS Green</p>
<p>The tagline “Better Facility Sense™” underscores their strength of infusing a tangible brand experience into facilities design and management.</p>

<p><em>Is that Cotton Candy I Smell? State Fair Tries its First-Ever Olfactory Signage</em></p>
<p><strong>East Rutherford, NJ – June 2012 </strong>– Is that cotton candy I smell? Shoppers in New York and New Jersey are in for a treat this month as <strong>State Fair Meadowlands</strong><strong> </strong>unleashes its “Scratch &amp; Sniff” mobile billboards, with the distinct smell of the sugary summer treat.</p>
<p>State Fair Meadowlands is using the billboards to promote its annual summer fair, held in the New Meadowlands Fairgrounds, next to the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, from June 22-July 8.</p>
<p>Beginning June 16, two mobile billboards will visit major shopping malls in northern New Jersey and Staten Island, NY, offering Father’s Day shoppers the unique experience of scratching and sniffing a larger-than-life stick of cotton candy.  Afterwards, the billboards will travel to commuter locales, malls, city centers and other points of interest in New Jersey and Staten Island, spreading the word about the upcoming fair.</p>
<p>The billboards were designed by Mike Guarino of <strong>NJ Creative Direction</strong>, an advertising and design agency based in Summit, NJ. The signage, which utilizes fabric saturation and scent diffusion, will be showcased on two mobile billboard trucks owned and operated by <strong>Billboards2Go</strong>, headquartered in New York City.</p>
<p>“The smell of Cotton Candy evokes memories of summertime and fun at State Fair,” said Al Dorso, president of State Fair Group, which owns and operates State Fair Meadowlands. “We have <del cite="mailto:Patty" datetime="2012-05-31T15:30"> </del>used Billboards2Go for several years to get our message out to the public. This year we want to draw people into our message with an element of amusement and sweet aroma – calories optional!”</p>
